The mirror scene reminds me of Spider-Man, when Norman came face-to-face with the Green Goblin. The way I see Pinkamena, she's like a combo of the Goblin and Pinkie's own equivalent to The Dream Lord/Valeyard: all of her inner darkness and negative traits rolled into one. Not somepony you ever want to let loose on Equestria.
