This is my 3rd cosplay, I had to transform myself a lot to cosplay this character!Related content

To begin with, let me just say that Talim is my absolute favorite Soulcalibur character and I’ve seen many cosplay photos of people dressed like her, and some were good, a few were excellent, and quite a few were just plain bad. This one, however, takes Talim to a whole new level and presents a realistic and somewhat mature depiction of her that is both true to the original character and yet a refreshingly unique take on her, both at the same time. The first thing I think of, when I think of Talim is how unique her look is – her outfit is simply beautiful, and in this photo it looks like you have replicated it so perfectly that I would swear I was looking a real-life Talim when I see this image, and the others in this photo series of yours. Now, no matter how perfect the costume, it is the person wearing it who makes or breaks the character and look. You are perfect as Talim! You have a splendid, curvy body, which looks simply amazing in that costume, and the facial expressions you display are totally right in every imaginable way. You bring a sexiness to this character that I have not seen in many cosplays of Talim, and that is what I mean when I say you are creating a realistic and somewhat mature take on her. In you, Talim is all grown up and still kicking all kinds of butt and ready for action! And still as beautiful as ever, and having a kind of agelessness to that beauty. The weapons you are holding in these photos are so perfect also; they look completely and convincingly real! I can actually see them doing some Soulcalibur villain some major harm, and that is how they should look. They aren’t like anything you could buy at a costume shop, that’s for sure! And next we come to the hair… you did the hair so well, that it doesn’t look like you’re cosplaying it looks like you ARE Talim. And that is when cosplay is done right, when the person cosplaying totally disappears into the character but in the right way so that it all looks realistic, and believable. The detail you put into the outfit also shows a real love of doing this kind of thing! I see some cosplayers throw together outfits and some end up looking like they put them together out of scraps at best, but you… you are in a class all by yourself here because with you it truly looks like that is Talim’s outfit and not a costume at all. Now, the lighting is very well done because it highlights your amazing body and incredible costume perfectly without adding either too much shadow or too much glow… and as someone who has don some modest cosplay of her own over the years, I know all too well how important the right kind of lighting is to make an image live and breathe and look proper and correct once the picture is taken. So that too is another great achievement on your part! Now, I know that some people might say that those weapons are not exact to the ones Talim wields in the games, but the way you have them looking, they look like something she would wield anyway so that would be a tiny nitpick at best and one I myself have no problems with since I like fresh, different takes on things and believe something does not have to slavishly be copied form a game in order to be perfect. You make Talim perfect because you made her your own creation here and breathed new life into her by so doing! I'm gonna view this with a few different aspects; Accuracy, Creativity, Detail, and Portrayal/Pose. First, The hair is great! And it's interesting how you made the hair closest to your head with more volume. I LOVE the choker and head piece. Though honestly I remember it being bigger. The cloth used for the pants is just see-through enough to give that wispy and pure look Talim gives. I love the design of the belt. The buckle is very pretty with it's detail. The wrap on your chest has an awesome trim on it. It looks exactly like the one from the game.
The only thing would be picky with are the tonfa blades. Since this is a game about swords you cannot forget that the weapons define the character. So it's really crucial to make them as exact as possible. Unfortunatly it doesn't look like any familiar ones she's had before.
Lastly, Your pose really shows how curvy and fit you are! xD It also doesn't hurt that you look pretty. I like how you look like you're getting ready to finish an opponent off. It makes Talim look like a fighter that will not take your bullshit. lol Whoever took the photo did a great job aswell! The lighting is awesome. Easily, my favorite of all the Talim cosplays that I have ever seen, and simply the best of all the ones submitted here on DeviantArt! I wrote a very fair and balanced review for it and I hope you like it a lot. You did an exquisitely beautiful job on this, and deserve high praise for it indeed! It captures so much of the character, your cosplay of her, and yet at the same time adds so much realism to her and so much that is unique, sexy, and fun. I am certainly adding these to my favorites! Great job.
