One more commission for OTP games
This time is a party that has just defeated a giant and is starting to examine his treasure hoard. The party consists of a human paladin (the leader of the party), a human wizard, a brother/sister pair of dwarves, and a half-elf thief. The rogue discreetly picks up a ring a slides it on his finger and is possessed (though it's not ap-parent to the rest of the party).

“Don't touch anything!” Lady Palanthia warned. The giant's severed head lay several feet from its body but the paladin knew there might well be other dangers in this lair. While she trusted her old friends Delg, Torga, and Xantar, she was concerned about Sendrick, the thief the party had recently recruited to aid them on their quest. Lady Palanthia's contacts in the temple had assured her the young half-elf was quite skilled, but also warned her that he was more than a little foolhardy.
"Give me a moment," Xantar the Mystical said as he pulled a large, weathered tome from his back pack. "I shall be able to ascertain which of these items are magical, as well as their properties if you give me just a bit."

"Nobody will miss that," Sendrick thought to himself as his sharp eyes spied a beautiful gold ring set with a large black emerald. Using his considerable skill, he scooped it up from the pile of treasure so he could slide it onto his finger without anyone in the party noticing.

"What harm could it do anyway?" he thought to himself. His question was immediately answered as he felt another presence in his mind. Before he knew what was happening, Sendrick found himself a spectator in his own body, watching through his own eyes as something else controlled where he moved and what he did.

"It's good to finally be able to move again," a sinister voice said. Sendrick knew no one else could hear the voice and watched helplessly as the rest of the party seemed blissfully unaware of what was going on inside his own body.
"Now tell me about your friends. They look like they could be useful."
