You jumped up, eagerly running to the DVD player popping in the disc. "This is gonna be great! It's the sweetest/saddest movie ever, and you'll love-Well no you won't, but you're gonna watch it with me anyway." Grabbing the DVD remote you sprint back to the couch plopping down next to -the now brooding- Khan.

"This is absurd. Watching movies made for children. I am above-"

"Just shut up and spend some time with me, doofus." You huffed.

Kahn took a deep breath and closed his eyes, biting his tongue. Exhaling through his nose he gave in and leaned back on the couch, throwing his arm around your shoulder. "Alright. I'll watch with you."

"Thank you." You replied leaning into his side.

Just as Khan was getting comfortable, you jumped up unexpectedly. "Wait, we need popcorn!" You exclaimed, jogging into the kitchen just as the movie started, your bare feet making little sticky noises on the floor.

He let out an exasperated sigh crossing his arms like a child, lower lip stuck out in a pout glaring at the TV. While you were in the kitchen the begining of the movie started to play, the sequence of Ellie and Carl Fredrickson's earlier life playing out. Khan watched disinterestedly until it got to the part where Ellie starts to show signs of trouble, by which point his brow furrowed pensively. By the time she was in the hospital his face had gone completely slack and he'd leaned forward on the couch as far as he could.

When you came back with the popcorn, his hands were covering his mouth, and you could see the faintest glimmer in the corners of his eyes as Mr. Frederickson stood on the hill alone by Ellie's grave. You grin ecstatically and bounce into the seat next to him, popping a piece of popcorn into your mouth. "Alright there babe?" He jumped at the sound of your voice, glaring at you coldly. "Fine." He said forcefully, slouchy back against the couch crossly. "Sure you are..." You snickered. Muttering something unintelligible, he moodily snatched a hand full of popcorn from the bowl, stuffing it into his mouth.

"Sooo, do you, need a tissue or something? Cause I can-Ow hey, stop that! STOP THROWING HOT POPCORN AT ME, THAT'S FOOD!"
