Description
In preparation for Nanowrimo this year, I decided to try to remake an old image. I think I successfully did it, and this time I got across the exact idea I wanted to that I failed in the first try. It is for the story I want to write, which is the story of Liridon's darkest period of time (literally, no sun and all!) and how the light was restored, etc.
So, this is the character, Solis, against the nightmare that is the Voyd, who is the bringer of the darkness and keeper of death in Liridon.

Naw, thank you very much <33 Hehe, I'm planning on giving it as a print to someone for christmas, not sure who yet - since I can print it 20 x 30 inches, it'll fit on a canvas for a family member

OH my stars!! This is GORGEOUS!!! First off, you've successfully pulled off an amazing white mane and the markings are placed wonderfully! Not the mention the fact that the lighting is stunning. All that background blending is very well done as well as the transition between light to dark. Gah I'm just going to sit here and stare for a good 5 more minutes. (while wanting to take all that talent for myself...) hehe

<3 Thank you very much! Hehe, I'm still amazed I managed to do it too, really. It's something I'm still proud of, quite a lot - not to mention I managed to retain its full size which is about 30 x 40 inches, and it'll go in a canvas print for a gift for a family member this christmas

If I got this for a gift, I'd be so happy! It's amazing! I don't know how you managed to upload the image at such a big size! Mine always fail, it's so annoying, I either have to make it smaller or downgrade the quality :/

Wow, this is amazing Nikkayla, great job! I loved the first one when you did it, by this remake is just brilliant.
The light coming off Solis, and the shadows that surround the Voyd are so well done! The background (in comparison to the old version) is really well done also, and to me, shows more of two sides - Solis standing on growing grass instead of the dark rocks.
His eye, and his markings are also amazing, very nice.
I hope you really enjoy writing your Nano story, it's certainly something worth writing about! I love Liri so much, and really enjoyed the Light vs Dark plot with Solis and the Voyd <3 There were certainly amazing characters and players on Liri, and I'm just really sad that life pulled me away from that wonderful place several times.

<33 Thank you lovely! Hehe, I was always like 'how I can make this better' with that one but then... I just suddenly decided it had to be done.
Solis needed to be brighter, more who he is while Voyd needed to look more insane and 'I will eat you'. And using more elements and awesome filters and having learnt how to do lighting better and meld backgrounds better, helped a lot. His markings I'd like to be more glowy but for Solis they are good, contrast against his lighter colour

So sorry it's taken forever to reply, real life has been real crazy for me, but, things are settling down now. How did you go with Nano? I've tried to do it a couple times, but either lose motivation, or other things come up. I hope you had fun, at least. I know how it is wanting to tell a story, but not getting a chance to. Yeah, it's real sad that Liridon's closed, but it had a good run for sure. And I know that while i played there, I definitely had a good time, especially with the plot revolving around bringing back the light, mm.

As for Nano... I lost enthusiasm after I got left behind and I had to just not bother trying to catch up. I'll still write it... but yeah. I miss Liridon too <3 But I think its time is past, at least for now. Maybe someday, if theres still rping going on, it'll be back
