Wakko held out an arm to let the Wrangle coil around him and told her to put an umbrella up. The sprinkle of the rain became a downpour, and he had to watch his step.
"Master, will we find the child?" Wrangle questioned. Wakko sighed.
"Wakko. Not Master. And to be honest, I don't know." He turned a corner. A sneeze caught his attention. It almost sounded just like...
Turning the flashlight beam, he let out an excited gasp. "Dot!" Wrangle watched silently and followed him. He knelt to Dot's height and stared at her. She was shivering, soaked, and appeared to have a slight cold.
"Dot, it's me. Are you alright?" He whispered. She looked up, then heaved a discouraged sigh and slowly pulled the blanket around her back a little. A black nose poked out, then a golden face with deep brown eyes. Wakko gasped as a puppy, muzzled and terrified, stared up at him sadly.
"Y-you rescued Scout!" He breathed. His eyes teared up, and he dropped his flashlight. As the Wrangle picked it up, Wakko held out a shaky hand to pet the retriever puppy, who reached his paw out to Wakko's knee.
"I couldn't bear to see you hurt, Wakko." Dot rasped. "Even if I'm not the cute one anymore."
"Wrangle. Put the mission on hold." He choked out, tears streaming down his face.
"Wh-"
"Hold. Mission." With that, he grabbed his sister into a hug and began to sob. Wrangle moved so that the umbrella was covering all of them, then rested her chin on Wakko's head.
"Wakko..." Dot leaned on his shoulder, about to say something else.
"You'll always be the cute one, Dot." He cut in. They sat there for a while.

I was still torn about Jeremy's passing when I drew this. So you can imagine why I drew it.

In this, Scout had bitten Miss Flamile, who sent him to animal control, much to Dot's pleasure. Her pleasure, that is, until she saw how miserable Wakko was without his puppy...
