It was It has something strange about it though, almost as if it's an optical illusion.

Thank you so much I really loved the place too (although I was dead tired, we'd already walked for 23 km that day with a lot of height difference). It kinda seems like some sort of optical illusion, the longer you look at it, the weirder it looks

I know, it just always seems like there's something not quite right with this landscape if you focus on it for too long, but that's kinda what I liked about it. It's just very very unusual.
And, well, it'd surprise me if it weren't glacial, pretty much anything in that area has been affected by glacier activity in some kind of way.
