Description This was orig. a guy but when I paineted the lips in he magically became a she... ha.... These are my 2 favorite vices! I KNOW THEY ARE BAD, but I really miss my old coffee shop filled with miserable people.
The miserable person in the painting isn't anyone specific, but def looks like the type of person to frequent the coffee shop.... androgenous and sad, all alone, but content with their coffee and cigarettes.

breakfast of champions . the only thing ya shoulda changed was to make it a D.A. mug. since thats what we all do kidding of course oh and filled the ashtray with at least 20 butts. guess that makes 2 things....... my bad

There is a lot of feeling coming off of this... It's illegal to smoke in coffee shops now in my city. The look in her eye says all of it.

Nice work on the figure and the hair. the perspective on the table and the smoke is somewhat perplexing though. The table looks like it just ends because the horizon isn't quite far enough up.

The steam from the coffee cup is nice because steam is typically a bit thicker than smoke. But handling the cigarette smoke in the same manner detracts from the steam of the cup. Smoke is a lot thinner than steam and wafts a lot farther, so it might be cool if you intermixed the smoke and stem together or at least made them seperate from each other in texture.

Nice work overall. Love the colors.
