Playing with SickleYield's "Beautiful Skin Iray" and her test lights parented to the camera (as well as a host of other stuff...) "The "beautiful" might be a little overly optimistic, but "damn good" is probably pretty fair. "Beautiful Skin Iray" is a better product name than "Damn Good Skin Iray" so I guess I'm splitting hairs! It is the best of its kind so far (free or paid) and will be my "go to" first shot tool before I start monkeying with the settings.Having different option settings for each of the figure UV's (V4,V5,V6 BaseF) is a sweet touch too, its nice not to have to spend an hour+ monkeying with the UV's of all the parts just because the artist liked V5 (or 4 or 6 or 7).

The light is handy and looks great, but is slower to render than the single HDR light I've been playing with lately (which lacks the sweet intensity it gave in Octane - have to play with the settings,) SY lights are something to save for final renders... Octane Daz may have been buggy, terribly supported, and got weird if the scene was more complex than a pinup, but it did render beautifully and fast (and had redspec!) but unless they really get their act together, I don't think I'll be going back... (Octane was pricey for what felt like beta software too, as they are preparing to ask us to pay for it a third time...)
