If you never stumbled upon your answer (the site I used that the thread linked here is no longer around), then answer to what the blue part is that its one big city. each individual part represent a different district in the city. I recently returned to developing this game (Other than help on stuff like NikNaks did here, its a solo project).
You may or may not see this. I haven't used DA enough to know if this period notifies anyone or anything that this info is here.

Actually I missed you, i'm pretty bad with names however I'm very good at noticing styles of art (even pokΓ©mon tiles based) and yours is pretty different from the others ^^

I helped make the map, but I never asked what the large area was meant to represent.
