Game of Thrones Fan art.Material and lighting practise.For reference i used Melaamory art piece.
Tools: Blender 3D(Cycles render engine), Photoshop for final compositing.

Around 5 work hours spread over a weakened. If you look closely, half of the model is copy/pasta. Modelled 1 head+neck and copped it 3 times and edited the neck a bit. Same with the wings and the legs, made only one and then copied and edited a bit.

I would so wear this... I love dragons. I love all sorts of mythical creatures. They awe me so much!
I am doing at least three different projects on making finished wooden european dragon products! I do crafts, drawing, painting, writing, costumes, and etc... I hardly ever do post these here because i do not want to be giving any ideas to people who might want to copy the idea. So i mainly post sketches and some paintings and a few crafts here and there. I recently was doing Mr.Fox as a cop colages.

Could you share your node setups and infos about how you lit the scene?

I uploaded the blend file with the original scene setup and the material used on the dragon (i put the material on the Monkey cos the medallion file size was a bit to big).
The same material used on the Medallion was used on the Viking Helmet and the Shield.
All textures and HDR-s r packed in to the Blend file.
I made the scene work without the Andrew Price plugin Pro Lighting Skies, but if you want totally the same lighting you should download it.
There is also the PSD composit.
