Finished piece for Azurphore ΒO_o;
Geez... feels good to have this finished and not look completely garbage.
I was so anxious about the lighting due to the fire, I wasn't sure what to do. I also didn't have the proper colors for his birthmark and for his hair, but I managed to make due.
What do you guys think?
Overall, I had a lot of fun with this one. It presented me with many challenges and forced me to think of ways around them. ^^'

Sweet artwork! I actually have a few questions if you donβt mind me asking:
1) The thick outlining, where did the idea for that come from?
2) Silly fan question. You mentioned not having the proper colors for his birthmark? Does Todoroki actually have one? I never recalled that for some reason.
3) When you inked the outline for the smoke, fire & ice and then colored them, was it at all challenging to... how do I explain it, to not have colors or line art overlap by accident, if Iβm making any sense?
4) This work you did for Azuphore, if you donβt mind answering, did she do a normal request or was it like a commission?

1. The thick outlining is something I started doing recently. I guess I kinda got the idea from βs artwork.
Iβm not sure. I just started doing it, and liked the look of it.
2. The mark on his face is a birthmark. I didnβt have the proper shade of red to make it, so I had to find a blend of other colors to make it.
3. No? Not really I guess. I wanted the frost and fire to have some black outlining. Iβm a sucker for black lines. Some/most artists hate them, but I like them.
