Description Another photo with amazing Donna. I kept this mostly unedited, I don't want to disturb my images with tons of tones and curves and i-don't-know-what.

On a side note, I have a couple of other shoots to submit. With Henrike for example.

So jetzt komm ich mal zum Schreiben.
Hast mich sicher schon vermisst!
Ich liebe dieses Foto einfach! Wirklich!

Aww, the title could be a hint for a background fictional story. Like a girl wondering why the cargo ship with her family sank. <3 Tragic and sad.

It's beautiful!! the only thing I would critique would be the use of lighting and color, which could have been emphasized more. But it's so expressive, and I like the scene/scenery

the flowers remind me briefly of sea foam, so the nautical touch of the model is wonderous with this.

This is awesome!

I like the simplicity, actually, because it manages to capture things... in a graceful way, almost. The way you've off-centred her makes the composition greater and I like the colours of the background. It's just a small shame that the sky is so white and bright as it makes things slightly harsh, but I don't think it's that bad all in all.

Her expression is an intriguing one... it's almost uncertain, but not at the same time, as if she was trying to appeal to us in some way.

Profound stuff.

NikolasBrummer In reply to 3wyl [2011-05-27 17:26:06 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like it.
Towards the sky - I'm a fan of back-lighting, so I believe I will most likely never have a colorful sky. Or do you have any ideas how I could do it?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

3wyl In reply to NikolasBrummer [2011-05-27 17:45:57 +0000 UTC]

That's interesting...

Not really, no... I mean, you could integrate a blue one, but that requires manipulation.

I prefer a blue sky myself, but then that's just me. o.O

It depends, because the white can suck the colours out, almost. >.<

Portrait-of-Light [2011-05-27 04:48:56 +0000 UTC]

I understand wanting to be able to say, "Oh yeah, this is SOOC."
but at the same time, sometimes tons of tones and curves and i-don't-know-what can help an image.

I'm gonna be a backseat driver for a sec. Kay? Kay.
With this image, for instance, I'd probably use curves to boost the blue tones in the image, and maybe a little red - because, that would create a lovely lavender tone to skim over the green, and (I think) would develop a melancholy feel to fit with her pose, and expression.

Oy.
A run-on sentence, too.
I'm sorry.
That being said, often I over-edit.
So. It's your art, do with it what you wish. : )
