well for future reference. save these files, a reaction animation for each piece, a drop animation, a landing animation, and then apply them to a template. for each piece, you may need several animations for each depending on how the piece is turned or how heavy the piece is (several for reaction animations). so make those source animations of each block and a few still background images for level changes, and the programmer should be able to handle the rest. it would be a bit more work, but if your programmer had a way of doing it you could set the reaction animations so they only activate within a certain range of the reacting piece like only the first and second layer. hopefully this all makes sense ^_^' I saw an animation student build a game from 2d animation recently, it's the same sort of process, since you only have to animate for a 2s game. 3d coding would I assume be much more difficult.
