Oh seaside how I miss you. I love how the brownish tint gives it a slightly more nostalgic feel. The textures are amazing and I love that little bird in the background, it adds interest.

I like this one better. I like the roughness of the water with the bird flying across it. Nice colours as well. I feel that even though the water is rough due to the colour it is warmer than the other one.
And like someone else commented already your horizon on this one is not straight. Judges at photo comps will look at tiny details like this when it comes down to putting one photo ahead of another. I keep hearing this comment over and over again at the photo club

I understand your enthusiasm; where I live we get lots of birds and kangaroos. To the pleasure of the dogs there are rabbits every now and again as well (they are a pest where we live). And it is only a short drive to the sea to observe all sorts of sea animals. It is fantastic to see this variety of animals

There is only one thing - the line of horizon. It's slightly shifted
Maybe i also would propose you to try to put your watermark to the opposite corner, or opposite lower corner. Right now the left side a bit too heavy because of the bird.
But i love the bird there and think it should stay there!
Reflections of the light on the water are also very very nice
