Dirty soles mean freedom and worrilessness! When a woman goes barefooting with dirty feet, she allows herself into relaxation! Quite philosophical, but that's how I see it!

I don't follow a whole lot of photographers for the simple fact that my brother is one and I rarely find one as good as he is (and since I'm not a decent one I have no opinion on improvement for the not-so-good ones either). The reason I started watching you is because I think you're someone my brother would look up to if I could pull him out of his shell (far worse than my own, which is saying something).Β
That being said, this picture evokes something indescribable. It at once reminds me of long childhood days going barefoot and of a coquettish, very adult moment the likes of which I wish I could feasibly pull off. And you did it with a reasonably close photograph of a pair of bare feet. I admit that one of the things that drew me in was the adorable freckle of her leg, in addition to the artfully placed dirt. Love it. Sorry to get sentimental.Β

There is something sentimental about this. Photography is a way of seeing. The model (Heather Denise, who commented above) loves being barefoot and came up with this idea. I was glad to be able to capture this as a middle finger (if you will) to the clean-cut world of adulthood.

The funny part is that this was her idea. The guy with us said, "Nobody likes dirty feet!" She sternly corrected him before I had a chance.
