I'm a fan of the old school Universal monster films, but I don't entirely agree with the direction they've taken in this latest attempt at rebooting of the franchise. Constant LOUD noises and Asplosions don't make the writing gooder

They must use the disgustingly loud sound effects to drown out the quietly mumbled lines.
I'm sick of riding the remote due to poor volume modulation. 

Is The Mummy the only one they've rebooted so far? It seems no one wants the role of Frank's Bride.

Exactly! Tornado strength LOUD noises and actors delivering their lines with a mouthful of gym socks Why?! 

They've done "Dracula Untold" (2014) and "I, Frankenstein" (2014)

Maybe they'll reanimate Elsa Lanchester to resume her role with the uncanny valley magic of CGI.

I vaguely remember watching "Dracula Untold", "I, Frankenstein" doesn't even look familiar. 
They look alright, entertaining enough but too superheroish. 

Angelina Jolie and Gal Gadot were up for the Bride part, I guess they lost interest due to the other unsuccessful remakes. 
I don't think I'd cast either of them for the part. Not sure who though.

I do the same! But I always feel better knowing that I adjusted the hue to be ever so slightly less red, and no one else will see the previous version that, other than the minuscule difference in overall color, looks exactly the same.
