We (finally) get to see all of Rose's many! foals and their names! Yay!
However, your math might be a bit off...
I thought that you said that the oldest in the family is the "Element Bearer" and that Water Lily is the one that inherited it. But in this age chart it shows that Abacus is older...so...did something happen?
Also, in a different comic , it showed that when Wallflower was 14; Hawthorn was 10
With this chart showing Wallflower at age three when Hawthorn is a newborn---wouldn't she be 13 at the time when he was 10?
((though that also might depend on when their birthdays are so...clarify?))
So not sure if there was some additional plot stuff that I missed or if the math really was off (like J.K. Rowling's works sometimes are)
It's not a bad thing...just wondering...

It's tied to cutie marks. All that means is that Water Lily got hers first.
As for wallflower, it's definitely a birthday thing. I didn't actually choose birthdays so it's a bit fuzzy give or take, but the years are basically right.

Not that it's important, but how did the twins get their names?
Abacus has a math themed name (a reference to their father)
Water Lily and Wallflower (sort of) have botanical themed names (a reference to their mother)
Are either (or both) parents into theatre? or dancing? A reminder of a date they went on while courting? or something?
Just curious on the name origins of Masquerade and Spotlight (they are both very beautiful names for very beautiful fillies!)

Eh, I feel like it being basic was actually one of its strengths. With Rose's character, having something crazy or complicated just wouldn't have worked.
It was short, sweet, and simply pleasant, much like Rose.

Ah, classics... I wholeheartedly recommend it, it's hilarious.
But yeah, comics are pretty good too, a bit of a mixed bag, but they do have their moments. My favorite has got to be the story arc in which we delve into Cadence's and Shining's back story (not unlike your Romance comics, tho a bit more... high school): Shining is an absolute dork (and we love him for it and he never really stopped being a dork) and what little we see of Cadence's and filly Twi's interactions absolutely steals the show for me ^^ and and and and etc.

Usually, it would be the first-born, but elemental connections are made when cutie marks are earned. In this case, Water Lily got hers before Abacus. After all, the poor boy is smart in many ways, but slow in others

I remember reading this heart-melting comic story and just loving every segment of it! Β I liked the story a lot!Β Β And I like the fact that Balanced Budget became the new prime minister! I wonder if his families corruption issues were ever resolved (though I know he likely distanced himself from them for that reason). Β Another great time line Great Brony!
