Reawaken - Speedpaint

Thank you Ellysiumn for featuring “Reawaken” as a

Daily Deviation for June 9, 2020! It was an incredible
surprise that truly means a lot, even more so for this
piece that is dear to me

I wanted to finally share this artwork after it got buried and hidden in newer
projects for so long. It's a bit surprising to return to DA and find out that
Eclipse will be taking over the old theme. I'll be here to stay, but I know not
everyone will. In a way, "Reawaken" is also a farewell; a piece connecting
old versus new phases.

The Florida Panther is currently a Critically Endangered species.

I remember starting this artwork somewhere in the later half of 2017,
bridging into 2018. This was one of the last pieces worked on from my
iPad mini, prior to any experience with my current iPad pro. It's dear to
my heart as a drawing I wanted to start for a while, inspired by those who
suggested it to me, and overall the ideas I kept getting related to it.

As I approached the end of high school and began in post secondary, I
left this florida panther work alone for so long, only free to finally come back
and finalize it long into 2019. Through many struggles I'm happy to
finish this work and in turn be inspired by the ideas I had from these past
few years. Lately I've leaned more towards large sceneries, but this [En]
work is a reminder of the awareness drawings I'd love to return to, someday
