It is proclaimed as a traditional art drawing... but you are not telling me there is no digital editing in this, are you?
If I would have to critizise something, then I'd go for the shadow/reflection. It looks too smooth and consistent for the curled water surface.

Exactly : The background is the only adaptation. The profiles are all hand made and it's just to add the ships on water (i think it's more realistic)
And you're right with the shaddowing, the part i fail to de better

If you have a look at the Bismarck or Scharnhorst, you'll perhaps see that the number of rivets on the turrets is exactly the good one
