Beautiful, sad picture. The shadows add a real feel of melancholy to atmosphere, and the girl's expression is just.... wow. If you're the person in the picture, I just want to reach out and give you a hug. If not, well, it's a fantastic drawing nonetheless.

Oh, this remind me when you never read children story book in entire childhood and teenhood, then suddenly read one in mature age. It feel like a valley of blackness to realize what you truly missed.

For me, I firstly feel sad and longing when I start reading young-adult and fantasy novels, some characters that author wrote, illustrate, or even 'tend to' interact with the reader-self, are giving me a message to understand the other side of meaning behind those texts. As well as something that warned us about reality, and something that we really not want to fall into it.

I don't know if my childhood is as dead as a dragon's feed, but at least I am still breathing.
