Description This was a commissioned piece and quite a challenge for me. The bright stripes on dark fur plus the lighting of the fire. Took me quite a while to figure out how to paint it, although it doesn't look like it. I dig warm/cold color contrasts.

I love the colors in this one too, I love how the character has the color of the fires glow on him then the color of the moonlight/starlight on his back.

This turned out magnificent!! The lighting mixed with the cool shadows just gives the feeling of a cool spring night at a campsite.

Thank you! Well ... just search for "campfire" on Google and you'll find plenty of reference photos. Start with the darker orange colors for the flames, then yellow and the bottom of the flame is almost white.

Ich finde dieses Bild unglaublich faszinierend und inspirierend.

Der Kalt/Warm-Kontrast kommt wirklich großartig zu Geltung aber auch das Spiel mit Hell/Dunkel haucht dem Ganzen sehr viel Leben ein.

Ganz besonders gefällt mir die Coloration vom Fell. Wie sich warmes und kaltes Licht treffen, zB in dem Bereich Mund - Nacken, wo die Haare so lieb abstehen. x3

Und natürlich allgemein die Pose ist so schön ruhig und gelassen und gemeinsam mit dem verträumten Blick... haww.
Die Idee mit dem Lagerfeuer ist wirklich schön und realistisch umgesetzt.

Das einzige, was mir etwas negativ auffällt ist, das mir der Schweif etwas zu hell vorkommt. Das lenkt meiner Meinung nach ein wenig ab.

Aber so stark fällt das auch nicht auf. Die Gesamtkomposition des Bildes ist traumhaft.
Ich bin wirklich fasziniert davon.

Mit deiner Kritik hast du recht, jetzt wo ich es mir das zweite Mal angesehenen hab. Vor allem die Schwanzspitze ist etwas zu hell geraten.

Also grundsätzlich mit OpenCanvas. Aber ich benutze es zusammen mit Photoshop. Da mache ich am Schluss nochmal eine Nachbearbeitung

Kommt aus Japan und ist im Großen und Ganzen nicht viel anders als Painter. Außer dass es weniger Funktionen als Painter hat. Mir liegt es mehr als Painter und es ist billiger *lach*

Der große Unterschied zu PS sind meiner Meinung nach die Pinsel. Das Zeichnen von Outlines funktioniert wesentlich flüssiger und der Strich ist schöner. Mag sein, dass es in PS auch ähnlich funktioniert, aber ich hab ehrlichgesagt keinen Bock mich ewig lang hinzusetzen und mir meinen eigenen Brush zusammen zu stellen

Nice use of warm and cool light sources! the transition between them is smooth and you get only subtle hints of green on the character. I wish there was a little more interest in the background, just to really put the character in a scene.

Thank you! Actually the price of the commission didn't include any background at all but I thought a quickly painted background would give it more atmosphere. That's why I didn't work more on it.
