The colouring and shading is very well done. I love the fur. Nice little bit of backlighting with those fireflies, too.

comparing the white, blank area of his tummy to his fluffy lower-body, i'd say the fluff works wonders! i mean, he looks real! i also like the trees in the background. a lot.
