I think fans were constantly asking when Kishimoto was going to put Naruto vs. Pein in the anime and they were constantly pestering him. I think this is payback.

I actually hated the entire fight scene, because the creators of naruto didn't put much effort into it. Pein looks like he's made of jello. one of the best fights in anime history turned out to be the worst.
but it did make me laugh

Urgh~ I hated this episode when I watched the anime. All the drawings/animations were bad!! The past couple ones as well. I noticed them changing and i was like depressed. >< I mean like, the others were good. And suddenly was bad..But it's good again now. LOL
