I took a good ol' break last week, not posting anything and letting my schedule roam free... I actually needed something like this lol, talk about a well-deserved breath of fresh air! ;] And speaking of my health, I'm getting increasingly better! Most of the symptoms I was dealing with almost faded away, and my energy is coming back too! (A huge thanks to all your caring wishes too, they really warmed my heart!)

This ref is slightly different from the other two because I painted it on Krita, despite drawing the linework on IbisPaint! Why did I choose to do that? Well- let's say I'm fighting a lot more with my phone battery these days when working on Ibis :'D It's not lasting as much as I would've liked, so to speed things up, I chose to only do the lineart there and do the rest on PC.

Now, speaking of my sona, it's quite funny how much I managed to see myself in her as I developed her design and personality - it started with that curly and puffy hair, googly eyes and stitched cheeks, to end up as a character with a standalone story and a very special place in my heart. She is, like I enjoy saying, a walking paradox: she is me AND also a completely different character

Here a little bit of context for her + info that isn't in the ref:

+ She's a kitflem (pronounced kite-flem), a kite-like creature made of papercut parts that were either glued, wrapped or stitched together.
This original species of mine is mostly known for the strikingly thin limbs (almost stick-like), folded heads (which can have a variety of shapes) and details on the head, such as horns, antennas, kite strings and ears.

+ Her world is full of aircrafts and card-like towers, and the people who live there are usually very competitive with their crafts - each one has a particular hobby, and hers is possibly the most twisted out there... which is create beings and characters from scratch!

+ In her lab, she turns whatever's stirring inside her brain juice (yeah, she has a brain, as weird as it sounds) into a living thing with the help of a large machine. Flesh, bones, blood, limbs- she makes up all the recipes for the parts, including the colors she wants her creations to have! Though most neon hues have, well- a bit of hazardous materials mixed in lol >:]

+ However, not all experiments go right, or don't have a complete recipe... it might sound horrifying, but it already happened to her to create beings with missing legs, heads and arms, simply because she hadn't imagined things properly. You can guess those creations aren't very happy with her... nor have the best intentions :'P

+ Very cheerful and energetic, she constantly feels the need to create because of her ideas, though suffers from burnout from time to time, since that creative impulse can go a bit too far at times. She's also a lover of tea (both hot and iced) and a bit mad, but juuust a little bit.

+ Lastly, she has a mutant chicken as a pet, which was the result of the big bang of some red and blue paint leftovers with a bunch of sharp, scaly parts and some feathers. Always hungry, it wreaked havoc and scared the heck out of many other kitflems, while spreading a weird mutation with its blue spit. Yeah, that didn't go that well. (There's also a... creature that popped out of nowhere inside her lab, and she kind of takes care of it too).
