Took a bit of a break from requests and payment pics to color these refs for Manza. She is my handler/rider for my Stryx and Tokotas! (No specific tack for tokotas since I don't have an specific one yet :<) Download for bigger size ;3

Manza is a witch who became an undead trhough necromancy. She was always a peaceful witch, living in a village by the woods in the mountains, spending most of her days learning the Craft and comissioned by the villagers for potions and spells. Then, there was a strugle between witches and the lords of the lands, and witch hunts began to spark everywhere. Knowing she might one day be next, she cast a spell to bind her soul into the cold winds of the world, and through her magic, she embalmed and preserved her body deep underground, in the caves beneath her village. She remained hidden for a long time, but because she was no longer alive, her sense of time became twisted. By the time she thought safe to emerge from hiding, her village had been abandoned, and she was on her own. She remained there since, not really seeing a reason to leave, except on occasion, to see what goes on in the world of mortals.

She is a very good hunter, though she has lost touch with her skills over time, not really needing to eat anymore. However, since Nawdrin came into her life(?), she found herself enjoying the thrill of the hunt, and to enjoy the outside, being used to be cooped up inside the caves. Ildhur has also helped her to be more social and involved with the mortal world, if only so she can learn more how to care for her new companions.

Her magic revolves around sigils and brands with specific meanings, which she enchants with power. They are usually drawn or written in a surface, usually metal or stone, or created with magical chalk, which can be used in the air itself. But since creating the chalk is difficult on many aspects, she only uses it in absolute emergencies. She usually carries multiple spells carved in metal coins she carries on her spear, or in necklaces under her scarf. It takes time to prepare spells, and can sometimes be very tiring, so she uses them sparely. She is better with warding and accuracy spells than aggressive, combat-driven ones.
