“First, we go to the small river. I’m thirsty and I’m sure, you too,” JB answered Fixo’s question, “After that we will try to find a way to bring you home.”
“H-Home?” Fixo’s eyes stretched wide. “But… But I have no home,” he lied.
JB looked at him, confused, “You’re a stray?”
“Um… Yes, yes a stray. That’s what I am,” he said with a simulated smile.
“Well… then we should find one where you are save,” JB ended. Fixo could tell, that she didn’t believe him, but she didn’t force him to tell her what the truth was, for now at least.
At the river, both stopped for a drink. JB checked the surroundings all few moments, seemly nervous.
“What’s wrong?” Fixo asked, but before she could answer a voice came from above, “Don’t worry, JB. Arcthoss isn’t here till now.”
JB’s gazed upwards with a big smile, “Glad to hear, Mer. Long time no see. How are things going?”
A brown skunk looked down from a branch, waving her tail slowly from one side to the other, “Everything’s quiet, gladly. Arcthoss wasn’t here since a few days. We keep our eyes always open for signs of him, you know?”
Fixo looked puzzled, “Who’s that? And since when do skunks climb trees?”

I really need to make a ref for Arcthoss. He’s a new character I created 2 days ago. He’s an albino, bat winged wolf with stinging red eyes. He’s a character I created for Fixo’s story, but maybe he will appear in Rannar as well. XD
