This is a superb piece. The picture at top is perfect to make you wonder whether he's removing the bandage or applying it.

Root canals are fucking terrible things. My dentist showed me my too(ee)th when I had my root canal(s) done, and they were the most grotesque things I'd ever seen in person. I din't learn my lesson though, because I still drink Soda and eat Snickers bars and Caramello.
Pulling reason out of religion is much the same as a root canal: the tooth is already so far gone that even if you work really hard to stop making it feel pain, are you're really left with is a useless shell that will break apart if you chew with it enough (that is if you don't get them capped). It's such a pointless thing, the root canal procedure. In retrospect, I'd much rather have three fewer teeth than to keep seeing bits of tooth falling out of my mouth.
The image is great too, and the sort of dripping with the paint makes me think of my root canals, actually. Probably because I just spent ten minutes writing about them.
