Yes yes, but the best convention in France (the biggest) is Japan Expo ! There's a lot of cosplayers, and we have a Comic Con ! This year, we had the privilege to recieve Hideo Baba, the creator of Tales Of Series ! :3 That's really cool, and it started in the beggining of July !
Oh yes that's a great idea ! I wasn't there this year, but I think their were some cosplayers in the new protagonists of pokΓ©mon !

Yeah, pretty big ! The most important manga convention in France ! I've never seenΒ something that big before ahaha ! Maybe that's just me, but I'm not sure 
And well ... the first week end of July and rarely, the last days of June ! Recently, they try to begin the con in the second week of July ! (because of the french exam "BaccalaurΓ©at" ... a great part of people pass this exam during this period -or more preciesly remedial classes- ! So it's changing but yeah, beggining of July
For 2014, this is the 3, 4,5 and 6 July apparently !
Travel ... I think this is, because even a travel France/Canada is pretty expensive ! As for living, If I remmember well I paid 350 euros for the hotel ... It takes place in the capital of France so fataly ... >< *give her money*
Actually, Japan Expo is the biggest one ! There's an another Japan Expo on the South of France (in Marseilles), and some little convention (Animasia, in Pessac, near to Bordeaux where I live, or Paris Manga, shorter than Japan expo) ! I don't know all of them, because there are convention all around the France, but I would look for you if you want

Well, I think you have to know some bases of the French, something which permit you to manage a bit ! (but you don't have to know perfectly the French, I think people know a bit of English Language.

If you want a great convention that's in Paris ^^' I'm afraid that, for example in Pessac, we have a pretty short room ... One year,Β they made a great convention in Bordeaux, I will see if they repeat it this year but I'm not sure ;w;
