Opal is queen of the mermaids on the eastern side of the ocean and is Pearls mother. As queen, she is responsible for all her merfolk subjects. Any issues that arise are sent her way to be handled. One recent issue has been with the neighboring sirens. The dark reflections of mermaids. She isnt all business tho she has a hobby of playing thw harp, she is very good. As for her personality, she is a fair ruler and despite her many duties, she still finds time to spend with her family she even allows her daughter pearl to run a few things around the kingdom as practice for her future which lead to pearl inacting her favorite rule of the kingdom Pearl's pearl policy. This policy effects anyone who exposes their belly within the kingdom that includes the queen herself, even she isn't immune to the policy. But that's a win for her because she adores tickling.
