“Ayano.” A shadow appeared over you eyes, hiding them from Kano’s stare.
“Yep, I visit her every night. Obsessive isn’t it.” Kano said looking at her grave.
“Every night?” You questioned him.
“Every night.” He replied back.
“She must feel loved, having someone visit her everyday.” You smiled, looking up.
“Hey, what was your relationship with Ayano?” Kano asked you, his cat-like eyes were now staring into your (eye color) ones.
“She...was my older sister.”
“Your what?” Kano said, shocked. “My older sister.” You repeated yourself.
“How is that possible? I don’t remember you from my childhood!” Kano said, his voice was no longer calm and in a whisper.
“I never showed myself, I kept myself hidden. Plus, our dad hated me, so I backed off, avoiding him as much as I could.”
“Wow.” Was all that Kano could say.
“Anyways..” You began, turning around. “I’m going to be heading back to the base for tonight, I’m tired.” You yawned proving your state of sleepiness as you waved off to him.
“Wait! It’s dangerous at night!” Kano said, running to where you were walking.
“Fine.” You muttered and Kano let out a small chuckle.
“Come to think of it, why do you always latch on to me?” You asked him, raising an eyebrow.
“Latch? You mean hang around you?”
“Yes Kano.” You said, growing slightly annoyed.
“Because..” He began. “You’re an interesting human.” That last part made shivers to go down your spine.
“Can you be any more creepy?” You said, backing away from him a bit. He just burst into laughter. “Got you again (Name)-Chan!” A tick mark appeared on your forehead as Kano earned a punch on the head from you.
“My fault for trying to have a serious conversation with you.” You said. You picked up your pace but then the air was forced out of your lungs as Kano pulled on the scarf that he gave you.
“What the hell!”
“I told you to wait up.” He stated coldly.
“What’s the real reason you keep bringing me out here every night! I never get enough sleep and it will only be a matter of time before the rest of the Dan figures out!” You snapped.
“To fill the void.”
“To fill what void?”
“The void, in your heart.”
“As if! Theres nothing wrong with me.” You stated, a bit confused with the words that were coming out of his mouth.
“Something happened in your past that you’re not willing to tell me.” Kano’s eyes were beginning to look cat-like to you again.
“Trust me, nothing is wrong, and nothing dramatic happened in my past.” You assured him.
“Everyone in the Dan knows about each others past, yours is the only one we don’t know.”
“There isn’t anything interesting to tell.” You said, lying through your teeth. You didn’t want to admit it, but something really did happen to your past. More than just being Ayano’s little sister. More to it than that... a lot more.
