Description
Trixie Belden and her friend, Honey Wheeler, getting caught while doing some snooping on one of their cases. Trixie's the blonde, Honey's the brunette. Both girls are in their 20's at this point and have opened up the detective agency they've been talking about since they were 14. A horse has gone missing from the town's stables, a valuable racehorse, and the owners want to keep it out of the press. They think this would be very bad publicity for their business. So instead of calling the police, they hire the plucky young detectives to discreetly track down and recover the horse. It's not very easy, but they do come upon a suspicious looking trailer. It turns out to be the right trailer, as the person who owns it confessed when he came along and found the two of them trying to get in. He was very obliging... well, almost.

Based on Trixie Belden and the Galloping Ghost. I originally did this for Rockner, who was posting scans of some girl detective novels, including the covers and the pictures inside. This included one with the girls getting caught, so I decided to draw the next scene, as I saw it. Never read the book, or any Trixie Belden mysteries, so I have no idea what actually happens.
