This was a long time coming. I drew the sketch a month ago while in Miami, and just got around to put the finishing touches on it yesterday.When the clouds broke I had to do a bit of hiding from the sun. At least it wasn't too hot, since it was January, but it was a lot warmer than around here. Wonderfully warmer. I'm really hating the cold.
In honor of being down there, I whipped up this picture of me and enjoying the warmer weather. That place was so much nicer! Lots of neon everywhere, awesome places to relax, really great food. And I even got to meet , which rocked!
I gotta get back to that place someday soon. And hopefully a certain fedora wearing roommate won't be snoring so loud I can't sleep.

I'm spamming peoples' galleries with long-overdue comments, if you couldn't tell.
I'm reminded of a female goth classmate from my high school U.S. Government class. She was gone for a while, and when I asked about her I learned she was vacationing with her family in Hawaii. Someone commented something like, "I just can't picture her lounging on the beach in a swimsuit." I guess she may have looked something like this. I'm diggin' your (and his) "fun in the sun" clothes.
More general comment: I like your cartoon humans. They seem like they stepped out of an 80's or early 90's cartoon, in a good way. I'm still attempting to develop my own cartoon human style and trying my darndest to avoid a cookie-cutter-anime style.

We goths aren't really known for doing great in the sun. You should see the way I reflect it like crazy in some photos... >_>
But saying that my drawings look like 80s and 90s cartoons is quite possibly the greatest compliment I've been given. That was exactly the look I've been trying to get. Anime is way too overdone for my taste, and I draw this style outta my great love for those old cartoons. n_n So, I thank you.

See, that's why I'd be hesitant to actually move that far south. I'd spend so much of my time hiding from the sun. Oddly, I think I spend just as much time tending to my pale skin as my little sister spends trying to keep her tan. n_n;;
But if we're ever that way again, we should definitely find more time.
