well, first of all you got some problems with the brightness. This is not omogene because the ground is very very dark. That goud have been a good point if you had like a unike subject, to make it contrast but that's not really the case.
If I were you I would have tried to remove this black area (hard uh ? ^^)
BUT, your subject is good and the light not so bad on the focused flower.
To me the main problem is composition, you should try to shoot one flower to begin !
Continue on that way
