Looks like someone was lucky enough to get her as a present ^_^
This is for 's group contest! I looove drawing warriors, it and it was so great to get another chance at that :3
Sorry if the shading is weird...I've been experimenting with harsher shades
This is the most detailed background I have EVER done! It took FOREVER GAH. And its not even that great v.v
*sigh* I started this, was so proud of the cat, then started to dislike the picture because of the crappy background, and terrible shading =/
Can I please have some critiques on this? Tips on improvement? Thanks! I promise, you can never be too harsh :3
EDIT: Since its such a big picture, download for the best quality. It looks really pixelated, btu I promise its like glowing when its downloaded ^_^

Okay, finally got over my laziness so I can try to actually critique this and put thought into it 
I really like this pic, especially the cat! <3. The cat and the tree have to be my favorite parts. I'm gonna sound hypocritical when I say this, but the background would look fantastic if it was a bit more detailed! (It's already great!) Adding a little texture and another layer of shading so you can see what things are/what they're doing a little better would be great! And some shading in the fire place, the flat grey looks kinda... Unfinished. Especially with the harsh light everywhere else and how it goes back into the wall, yet it has no shading what so ever... And maybe a little bit of a glow around the fire would make it look more warm and realistic

I think Ill go back and make the background more detailed. I sorta wanted the background to be just there...but everything on the mantle in the shadows. But I think It needs more lighting xD The lighting from the fireplace on teh floor looks weird to me...but I didnt know if I should make it softer, since the other lighting is hard.
I really wanna try adding textures, maybe to the wall and floor and a few other places. I haven't ever tried texture before
Im not really sure how to shade inside the fireplace...I just guessed that the light would be so bright it just shines everywhere...Ill need to work on that
The red light is from the fire...I just know red is a cozy, warm color, and I wanted the feeling to be like that. Maybe I should make it less harsh or change it though xD Its a bit drastic

Ah, yea that makes sense. Hmm well first off, a darker layer in the back wall of it, if that makes sense, and maybe some orangish shading on the sides?

Well, let me try my hand at a critique...
The shading... I'm actually not such a big fan of dark shading, but I think it really works pretty well for this picture. Perhaps you could add a few in-between shades, though, to make it a gentler transition?
And I don't think the backround is half bad at all -- and that christmas tree is ten times better than any christmas trees I've drawn! Perhaps you could give the logs in the fire a bit more detail, so they look less weird against the fire and the rest of the detailed backround?
Hmmmm what else... I would say you should try and give the box a bit more perspective and make it look more 3D, maybe tilt it sideways a little so it's not straight on, if that makes any sense.
I like the cat a lot, it's really great, and I love the coloring on her but I think the shading drowns it out a bit, so perhaps give the cat and/or the box and christmas tree some lighter shading, but really this is pretty darn good!

I was thinking to do a few in-between shades..I really started to get lazy though, and wanted to be done with it haha. Maybe Ill add those in
Yea...I knew the logs were plain. I need to make them a little nicer
The box is actually not straight on, its sorta looking at from up top....hard to tell because of the hard shading T.T (I even reduced the opacity on the shading...).
I love the cat, my favorite part of the picture
