Here's one in a series of ship designs I did for a Star Trek fanfic that was presented on IGN's sci-fi site. Unfortunately IGN took down that section. Oh well...Related content

This looks like a predator. Like it would dart around its prey like a bee, turning to face it and blasting it away.

According to the writer it was supposed be in the future... maybe 200 yrs after Picard.
