you may have noticed, but purple is my favorite color, so i just had to make my hair purple for this SPiCA PiC!*sob*
it was so good until i MESSED UP ON THE DUM BACKGROUND
oh well
i messed up a lot on this picture, actually
not enough attention to the finer points (i lost my little pencil sharpener halfway through the pic)
well, that's what Paint is for. i still wish i had a tablet, though.

Very nice, very nice. You did a good job on the color scheme and use of space. The details of your character are nicely done.
HOWEVER.
The character's right hand (the one that's going outwards) seems to be facing the wrong way. Here's a tip in case you get your hands mixed up: thumbs should be facing inwards towards the body. And like I said before, pleasepleaseplease practice drawing from real life. I can guarantee it'll make your works a whole lot better! Cartoon and anime are all about simplifying human features.
And it's wonderful that you're thinking about getting a tablet! I got mine and boy did it accelerate my progress! I've had a Genius gPen F610 tablet for almost two and a half years and it's still working as if it were brand new. (Not to mention it's cheaper than most tablets. *coughcough*) But traditional is still very much adored too! Better yet, you can have the best of both worlds! Good luck on your arting ways, young Padawan.
