Description
Valkyrie:from Old Norse : valkyrja, lit. 'chooser of the slain', as their name depicts they were the ones who chose which warriors were worthy of being admitted into Valhalla, where they would serve the fallen warriors with mead, however, this was not always the case. It is believed the origins of the valkyrie were death demons that feasted on the remains of fallen warriors, at some point this morphed into the current iteration of the valkyrie (believed to be around c. 790 - c. 1100).
