It'll be my one of two entries. I had another in mind, but this was perfect timing and I figured hey, why not enter it?

Man I really loved this game. I play more like RPG's, Final Fantasy and such now but this is always a stamp on my life, because it's always been a part of my childhood! Now I see that background and that brown ground, it really makes me think of that Chocolate Island level where that coin block decides where the pipe takes you. There's a flying section somewhere in that level right?

Chocolate Island was what I was referencing, yup! And there are a number of levels there, I'm sure there's a flying one SOMEwhere, it's been ages since I played it. XD

That was the level I meant probably. You know, with the dinos that spit fire at you and such, there's a coin block at the start which determines how the level goes. I remember once having hit the block and when I took the pipe, I ended up in a part with a wall run triangle that took me up a huge cliff and then weeeeee! I flew away! Good times!
I want to draw Mario drawings too but I'm not really popular on dA. You have an idea how to get my art noticed?
And could you give me some feedback on my art? I know it's like advertising but I'm asking most people for feedback on my art so that I can improve. What kind of program do you use BTWs? I mostly use Flash.

Um, hmm... I've found submitting to Groups helps a lot! Ya get some good exposure that way!
Daw yer style's cute! I would try experimenting with different body proportions and see where that takes ya. The bg work is cool!
And I myself use Photoshop.
