i can't think of a better title lmaothis is my overdue half of an art trade with Lunar-Xerneas ! she wanted a comic portraying a certain scene in her friend's fanfiction (a scene that hasn't been published yet, i'm pretty sure)
you can check out the fanfiction here: Mending the Heart of a Broken Child - Chapter 1 (warning: the story deals with the topic of abuse, so be careful about that if that's a bad subject for you my friends)
...i went waaaaay overboard with this.
and it took ages... both because it's much bigger than what i normally draw, and because i'm very slow at drawing in general, haha. there are some parts of this that i'm not entirely satisfied with or could make adjustments to, but i'm so tired at this point and i don't want to keep Lunar-Xerneas waiting any longer! 
but i'm really proud of the last two panels – i would probably make the second-last panel my phone background or something if it didn't feature a beaten-up shadow kirby right in the middle lmaothis was good practice ᕙ( * •̀ ᗜ •́ * )ᕗ
...i also find it very funny that Lunar-Xerneas and my drawings kind of have the tone of each others regular drawings. like, her half is silly and goofy and funny, like most of my drawings, and my half is serious and a bit dark, like some of her drawings!

It was raining heavily, making the ground soggy and slippery, and visibility poor. More than once he had tripped and fallen, getting himself muddy and scraping up his already bruised and beaten body, but despite it he pressed on. He had escaped the mirror long ago, and once he set foot in this new world he didn’t look back. Shadow had no idea where he’d go or what he’d do, but as long as he got away it didn’t matter. He just wanted to be safe…
Shadow continued on, pushing his body to its limit and not even caring. Anything was better than enduring the things he had experienced back home. Why, when Dark Meta Knight find)

I do like that Meta immediately reacted to Kirby's call. Like as soon as he heard Kirby, he rushed to where Kirb is going, and whips out Galaxia.

yeah, i was hoping that people would notice that little detail of meta knight getting out galaxia! just in case the thing that kirby's freaking out about is dangerous
