When you get down to it, Whistle is a good person. He's quick to help those in need, even to his own detriment, and just as willing to protect them with his life. However, Whistle is not the most gentle person. While well-meaning, he's more likely to be thinking of how to cut a problem in half than to talk it through. Whistle is quick to anger, especially when his beliefs are questioned, though he's even quicker to cover his face when he's embarrassed.

History:
Homeworld: Traverse Town
Past: Whistle was born in the slums, barely able to get by while helping his parents work. While not the most comfortable of living conditions, he was happy with it. This changed when a horde of strange, black creatures, which he now knows as heartless, ransacked the town and killed his family. Whistle managed to survive by hiding in a wine cellar with the other children from the slums. Nearly a day went by before any of them even dared to step outside. It was only when someone began whistling outside the doors that someone thought to open them. An enormous man stood at the doors, the heartless being nowhere in sight, and told the children they were now safe. He lead them onto an odd ship and took them somewhere very far away. To Traverse Town.
Present: Since that time, Whistle abandoned his given name and took the namesake of the sound that heralded his safety. For several years, he worked for Hennessy, a Black Market broker who owned a coffee shop as a front. Along with his friend Hazard (another child who hid in the wine cellar) he made a living as a private mercenary, taking anything Hennessy thought was in 'undeserving' hands and getting it to people who 'needed' it. While experienced enough to combat the heartless, he had no way of reducing their numbers, so he sought out those who could, and joined the Luminous Vanguard to wipe out the monsters that destroyed his home.

Weapon: Katana and Revolver.
Weapon Description: The Katana is an old blade of Japanese make, but is actually a replica of a legendary blade. Whistle was given the blade by Hennessy, who used to use the original in his younger days. Whistle keeps it sheathed on the back of his waste, and wields it backhandedly. The Revolver is a custom top-break hand-cannon, designed with only stopping power in mind. It holds six 9mm bullets in the clip, and is held in a strap holster that is concealed by his jacket.
Weapon Faults: The katana was made to be used while wearing heavy armor, and as such provides very little in terms of defense, especially with Whistle's fighting stance. The revolver can put down most normal opponents, but the ammunition is rather expensive, and takes up space Whistle would otherwise use for potions or elixirs, meaning he carries very little with him, and as such, he uses the gun sparingly.
Weapon Bonuses: Whistle's backhanded fighting stance allows him to swing in a much wider arc, and at much faster speeds then if he held it traditionally. The blade is steel, allowing it to cut most ballistic protection without issue. The revolver has extreme stopping power and can be reloaded rather quickly thanks to prefilled quick loaders along with it's top-break clip style.

Party Role:
Warrior: Whistle focuses on dealing out large amounts of damage in very short amounts of time.
