My 2d version of Moana's poster (one of many)!!!I haven't seen the movie yet 'cause here in Italy it's not out yet but i really can't wait!!!!

I find the colors and the entire concept very vibrant and friendly, which fits very well with the movie's childish fun and theme music. What I really enjoy about this piece is the water, the constant changing of the lines and the shading from the center of the waves outward gives the water intense amounts of depth and movement that I got distracted by nearly more than the characters in the center. Overall, the background shading and wave vibrancy really did a good job of pulling my eye into the center of the picture and the figures.
However, I do feel that the figures are the most lacking. All in all, their composition and anatomical build are nearly perfect, but the color of their skin as well as plants on Maui's waist feel washed out and lacking in vibrancy. Moana and Maui's skin should have more orange or red in order to bring out the tropical setting more. On a smaller note, the chicken feels out of focus, which looks strange in comparison to the pig, who has a clear outline and feels more in focus. However, those are just easy little tidbits to pick on, I was blown away by how beautiful this piece was, and I do think you should continue on creating amazing work.

I disagree with adding more orange or red to the skin tones. I think they're red enough as is.

They should have made a 2D Version. I'm not going to see the 3D one bc to me it doesn't look very interesting... the story looks weak and the art doesn't interest me much either.Β

I think Maui is very difficult to draw and you did it perfect!

Nice work..i've seen the movie..and it's fantastic. I saw the progress in the textures of the ocean, sand, shells and hair, it's quite magic ^^ And the story is good as well
