The design of the overall piece is simple, but it's also full of details. The colors and lighting are done perfectly to emphasize the intense nature of the scene too. Awesome job!

I love the 8-bit, it's so cool! I've never tried the new Mario though. "Mario Sunshine", doesn't sound so inviting to me...

Gotta love the evil looking clouds with pink cheeks, and the bottom view of the Koopa. I like how you coloured it -especially the pipes and the mushroom- and used a different cameraview.
