Description This is somewhat an older project of mine. I never really finished it but I really like the design so I thought I could upload a render of it.

Here's a video of what it looks like ingame, although without textures nor replaced particle systems [link]

Might finish it at some point if I can find enough inspiration.

Understandable, I wasnt' sure exactly how far along you'd gotten with it...my thoughts were more along the line of "If you continue with this, here is a 'maybe' idea(s)"

So if it's -strictly- for Pyro, (I still say "shock therapy" is more Medic-ish) maybe call it
'Thermal Shock?" Just another thought. I understand if you have everything the way you want it...just sharing ideas is all.

I wasn't thinking of it -just- killing in water or when the enemy is wet, more like 'as well as'.
But I can see where it would be more complicated to work in and using such a tag team like you mentioned (sniper/scout) would be unfair to the point where both sides would be nothing -but- snipers and scouts. *eyeroll*

I know 'life' gets in the way of more important things, and I seriously hope VALVE picks this up
if you decide to finish it.
It's a cool design, would love to see it fully textured and 'particled'!

Oh, I didn't mean it offensively when saying those, it's always nice to get ideas from people. It's just that the weapon at this point is much beyond implementing ideas and such, since the model itself is already finished. The name isn't really final, although I am quite fond of it.

Heh, no worries, you didn't seem/sound offensive, just stating 'the way things were'.
And I know what that's like, you get something developed past the 'point of no return' and you don't want to risk ruining all your progress.

Hmm....LOVE the concept, but a Pyro? I think this would be best as a Medic's weapon.
But I guess more than one class can use it. (IMHO)

And if you decide to make it as strictly for Medic, maybe make it less bulky in the dynamo area infront of the trigger. You SO gotta keep the rotating whatever-those-are!

Long range or midrange with long range pulse energy orbs?
(like the Pyro's flares only electricity) Would be SO cool if it electrified water and only took out the enemy! OR hit someone who's just been jaratied (sp?) or hit with mad milk...instant death!

Sorry, this is just such a fun weapon idea with all the possiblities!

Well, it isn't going to be any other class weapon than Pyro, since I've already finished the mesh and UVWmapping it, so I'm not gonna start changing it.

Other than that, gameplay wise, I don't think it'd be good if it only damaged enemies in water, or if it instakilled enemies who are under the effects of jarate or mad milk, since, had you a friend who was a sniper/scout, you'd pretty much dominate anything.

I hadn't really thought of the gameplay stats back when I was making it, nor have I thought them now, but we'll see, I'll come up with something if I ever finish it.
