After "walking" through the long desert until reaching Sumeru, Lumine actually had to roll because it seems that the same slime ended up growing with the help of other slimes on the road, in the end not because Lumine let them in, but because her inflated body did not allow her to fight, only to roll until she reached Sumeru
I think that after this Lumine won't be thirsty again for a while and she won't be able to walk until she digests the slime or the slime lets her go, who knows?
