This is one of my favorite pet peeves.
I just don't bother writing comments to artists who never reply. I know they can't always help it though. Popular artists often get too many comments to respond to (although a simple 'thank you' would suffice). Some artists don't speak English very well so they can't respond. But whatever the reason, if they don't reply, there's very little chance of me commenting. This is not out of spite; it's just because I don't want to waste my time writing a comment to an artist who won't bother replying. An exception, of course, is if I REALLY have something I want to say, whether they reply or not.

Hehe yup, exactly. (: I don't wanna waste my time writing to someone if I won't hear back. I understand not everyone can write back, and often I'll write not knowing if they will or not or what - and sometimes it's nice just giving out compliments too. But if you do know someone won't respond, it's harder bothering to write. (:

I know, sometimes you just really want to say whatever it is you have to say. But part of the fun of writing a comment is hearing what the artist thinks of your comment, or having a little conversation. I also sometimes comment without knowing whether I'll get a answer or not. But if I know that I definitely will not get an answer, I'll know better than to comment in future. It's no fun if you don't get a response.

Yeah, exactly. (: It's great to just say what you wanna, whether you get a response or not. But I think it's a lil' bothersome if people ask others to make an effort to do something without any intention of thanking them or responding. ;3

Sometimes, just to be sure, I look at all the other comments. And if they don't have any replies, or most of them don't, I figure I won't get a reply either so I just don't say anything.
