Description
GASP it's another painting D:Again, done on canvas with acrylic paint, except the size is slightly smaller at 12" by 16".
Took about 8 hours to finish.

Really nice job with the coloring.
Also, the water drops are a nice effect.

very pretty!! (: but since you put water droplets on the flowers, shouldn't there be some on the leaves as well. and since they used to obviously be wet from a previous rainstorm or something like that then there should be a certain /shine/ to everything because this seems kinda dull in colors and lack of texture in the petals. other than that, very nice!! :3

I think next time you paint something similar you need to give it more contrast, because at the moment it looks a little flat, and I can't really see where the light source is coming from. Contrast isn't easy, I still struggle with it myself. Also, the pink in the flowers would reflect in the green of the leaves and vice versa. I can see you already added blue from the background to both the flowers and the leaves, which is good. I'm not particularly fond of the blue background though, I think that maybe a cream colour, or something between cream and a light yellow ochre might have worked better for this particular picture. The highlights on the leaves are a bit dull at the moment.
But, it really is a very good effort for only being your second painting. I am impressed!

Yeah, I realise that the colours do reflect and I did put in some green in the tall flower on the right, but perhaps the photograph didn't show that clearly
I wasn't sure of what colour to make the background and actually made it a light violet at first, but then it turned into blue somehow
This is actually my fourth painting. Other than the iceberg, there are two others but done on a much smaller scale. They're in my Paintings folder :]

Needs more shadow because according to your light source there should be a bit more darker colors back there. and you could lighten the green a bit just to give it some life. Oh Oh some clouds would be nice. c:

I can't change it any more cause my aunt and uncle took it back to China when they left just then D':
But I'll take adding more shadows into consideration next time I paint ^^
The blue wasn't exactly intended to be the sky, just a nice colour to fit with the picture. I think clouds would make it a little chaotic
