Description
The day was brilliant and warm - much like this flower's amiable radiance.I named this flower Aiyana: A Native American name meaning "Forever flowering; eternal blossom".
The bugs eye view of Aiyana was taken at the 'Abkhazi Garden' of Victoria BC, Canada - a most beautiful garden and city.
Unfortunately I do not know the name of this type of flower. If you do, I would greatly appreciate if you could let me know!

I never did add a Lens Flare, but after looking at it again I have to agree with you.
But then again, there are also a couple other subtle "flaws" that I think I should have removed.

The crystal clarity and stark orange colours of this piece make it wholly deserving of a favourite. The flower contains an aura of beauty and power that is difficult to capture - yet here you've managed it.
The blue is so soft and inviting; it aligns perfectly with the warmness of the orange flower and simply captivates. Its simply a wonderfully aimed and executed shot.

Gorgeous colors.
The crisp orange of those petals just look amazing up against that blue sky. The sunlight hits them just right, causing lighter shades to alternate with the darker.
The green of the grass blades and stems are wonderful too; equally bright and bold, like the flower...and just so vibrant with that sky as a background.
Angle is good too; makes me feel like a little bug, looking up.

To me, this photo is a representation of the mood I was feeling that day.
It's hard not to feel that way when even the small and those whom are considered "less significant" are standing tall and proud - sharing their beauty.

Yeah, the sun definitely lights up the petals and shows how they're overlapping one another, which give it that see-through appearance. ^^
