ahh.. amazing indeed! That's something that I"d really like to do - I've heard that it's basically essential that you go with someone else though, not on your own? Did you have to learn the local lingo?

We met lots of Guys travelling on their own an the odd Solo Girl too. It is a lot safer than most people believe. You can get by with basic Spanish. As long as you can count to say 30 and be polite with hellos etc you should be fine
