Kerasi imagined that paying taxes would be easier than this. Though he still had to help Ms. Rosethorn out, if he wanted to stay in his room. Ms. Rosethorn also kept him company during those times, though she was more invested in his non existent relationships than he was.

"It's alright if you aren't interested in relationships, you can just tell me so", she said with a weird innocent undertone he hadn't heard from her before.
"No no, it's not that", he quickly said so she wouldn't feel bad, "When I still was a wyngling, I have seen some cute girls in the Ranch, but-"
"Oh, that's perfect!", she exclaimed, "There is no better person to help you than me!"
"Help me?", he said nervously and didn't know what to expect from her.
"In my teenage years I had a record of dating 20 gorgeous ladies in one month. Most relationships didn't last past the first date, but the important part is, that I definitely know how to make that first step."
"Ah...", he just said and tried to focus again on the taxes, but Ms. Rosethorn didn't let him.
"You should get out more and meet more wyngrew! You are way too young to just sit in the house all day."
"To be honest, I'm planning to go to the quarry tomorrow to see if I can get a job there."
"That is perfect! On the way there, if you see any wyngro that looks like your type, grab them and ask them out. You'll either get smacked or get a new date!", was her plan.
"I'd rather not get physically hurt", he quickly said.
"Alright, then how about you just try talking to them? Not much, just say a "hello" and that's it. Little steps, you know?"
"Little steps, huh?"
He scratched the back of his head and was really unsure about everything.
"I don't know if I'm ready yet for all that relationship stuff, but I will keep your advice in mind!", he promised.
That at least seemed to satisfy her. Kerasi thought that meant, that he could get to work again, but he was wrong.
"Let me tell you about the drama I have heard of going on in the higher elite circles...", she started gossiping and from how Kerasi had experienced her the few days, this could take a while...
